Our design services begin with an in-depth consultation where we learn about the client’s preferences, their indoor / outdoor lifestyles, and favorite plant materials. We spend time in their existing yard and understand how it relates to the home and the surrounding area, and how to maximize its potential. Then we deliver one-of-a-kind personalized landscape plans. In addition to the landscape plan, we can recommend installation service upon request and offer installation supervision. The final result is a personalized resort-like setting.

NEIGHBORSCAPING™

John Fitzgerald Landscape Design is the originator of the Neighborscaping – the art of landscaping with neighbors to maximize the overall effect.

Our Neighborscaping has been featured in Chicago Newspapers and Garden Walks. The concept is ideal for city and suburban settings where space is at a premium. Cooperative Neighborscaping maximizes yard space so neighbors can enjoy coordinated gardens, enhanced lawns, all while ensuring some necessary privacy and outdoor living space.

We coordinate the meetings between the neighbors and have a simple and discreet system of understanding all party’s visions, budget, and expectations. Conversely, if clients have a neighboring situation that requires intense screening, we have a variety of effective design solutions.
